A lifetime of improvising and creating has culminated in a growing body of available work from David Carriaga Hobbs that finds inspiration in his life long passion for sounds. David not only utilizes his nearly two decades of experience as a jazz and church musician and his years as a professional opera singer, but from the electronic music he produces, the hip-hop he enjoys, and the social dance styles he dances to.

Recent compositions include his original “Do Not Be Afraid” for mixed children’s choir and an arrangement of “Mary Had a Baby” for young adult choirs; compositions for two new jazz ensembles in Dallas that are premiering in 2024, and various arrangements for performing artists in a wide variety of genres.
